I’m 48 years old and navigate life as a deaf individual. As an INFJ, I tend to approach the world with introspection and a desire for deeper connections. I share my home with two adult daughters who mean a lot to me, and a spirited Australian Shepherd who keeps things interesting and reminds me daily of the joys of companionship—even if she can be a handful at times!
Through my writing, I often reflect on my experiences and the lessons I’ve learned. I enjoy painting as a creative outlet and appreciate the act of traveling, as it broadens my horizons. Reading is another passion of mine; I often get lost in a good book, finding a bit of escape and insight in the pages. I spend a lot of time alone, but rather than feeling lonely, I find it to be a space for personal reflection and creativity.
This blog serves as a platform for me to share my journey, especially regarding my Cochlear Implant surgery experience. I also write letters to my daughters, poems, book reviews, and short stories that come to mind. It’s a way for me to express myself and, hopefully, connect with others who find value in my words.
