The silence world
Waking up every morning staring constantly at her hearing aids sitting at the bedside table then looking outside her bedroom door watching the movement in the lounge room, there sitting on the couch is her little princess watching the children show. If only she could hear her getting up early in the mornings, if only little Ruby would be her alarm clock she’d be up at the same time. Everything is dead silence until she put on her hearing aids, the TV volume is up loud not understanding why her older daughter could sleep through that with loud volume. Turning the volume down then becomes the alarm clock herself to wake her daughter up to get ready for school. The days has been filled with sounds she loved to hear and cannot bear to go without, whether it be the dogs barking, cars passing or Ruby talking, till the end of the day everything is back to silence. That is what her life has been, clinging desperately to that one little dream she has held through the years – to hear! Cynthia, a 36 years old, mother of two girls, a childhood photographer and lover of arts and writing.
Blessed be,
Cynthia xo
